The SMART Multi-Stream Model

A responsive framework for students who learn differently.

At EDU360 Integrated Education, we use the SMART Multi-Stream Model to guide our curriculum design, placement decisions, and student support strategies.

SMART is more than an acronym – it’s a philosophy that ensures every student is placed in a pathway that reflects their strengths, needs, and aspirations. We developed SMART to respond to the real-world complexity of student profiles. It allows us to offer structure without rigidity, and support without over-accommodation.

What Does SMART Stand For?

S Specialist Support
Students receive therapeutic, emotional, and behavioural support tailored to their individual needs. This includes informal accommodations, regulation strategies, and relational teaching.

M Mentorship and Regulation
Daily homegroup sessions and consistent adult relationships help students regulate, connect, and prepare for learning. Mentorship is embedded across all EDU360 environments.

A Accredited Pathways
All EDU360 programmes lead to recognised qualifications. We offer Cambridge and BTEC academic and vocational pathways, as well as ASDAN for life and job preparedness.

R Responsive Curriculum Design
We fit the curriculum to the student, not the other way around. Our teaching is flexible, adaptive, and informed by observation, collaboration, and student voice.

T Transition and Tracking
We prepare students for life after school - whether that means further study, employment, or independent living. Progress is tracked holistically, with input from educators, therapists, and families.

Why SMART Matters

Students in the middle need more than a label
Inclusive education must be structured, not vague
Every student deserves a pathway that reflects who they are, and who they can become

SMART is the framework that makes EDU360 different.
It’s how we ensure that every student is placed with purpose, supported with care, and guided toward a meaningful future.
